At Omilia, we seek a skilled Linguist to ensure the linguistic excellence of our TTS output. This role involves independent analysis of Canadian French and English, requiring deep knowledge of phonology and phonetics. You will document unique language features and collaborate with engineers to optimize our synthesis pipelines and enhance user experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct phonological and phonetic analysis of English and French
• Document language-specific features for TTS model tuning
• Produce structured language profiles for evaluation




• Maintain phoneme inventories and mappings to IPA conventions
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate linguistics into systems

Requirements:
• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Linguistics or related field
• Experience with pronunciation lexicons or G2P systems
• Proficient in IPA and phoneme notation systems
• Skilled in corpus annotation tools like Praat and ELAN
• Proficiency in English and another language relevant to TTS
