We host corporate meetings, weddings, banquets, and social events in three beautiful event spaces with seating for up to 500 guests.Conveniently located near downtown Ottawa with onsite parking, Sala San Marco offers beautiful spaces for a wide range of occasions.Role DescriptionSala San Marco is seeking an experienced Sous Chef with banquet and high-volume kitchen experience to join our culinary team.This is a full-time, in office position with shifts primarily during evenings and weekends.The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef with food preparation and event execution, supervise kitchen staff, maintain food quality and safety standards,



and help oversee kitchen operations during weddings, banquets, corporate events, and other functions.The role will involve collaborating with the culinary team to prepare and execute menu items efficiently while maintaining consistent quality and presentation.QualificationsStrong food preparation and cooking skillsPrevious banquet or high-volume kitchen experienceMenu planning and recipe development abilitiesKnowledge of food safety and sanitation practicesStrong team management and leadership skillsCreativity and attention to detail in food presentationAbility to work efficiently under pressure and meet event timelinesStrong organizational and communication skillsFormal culinary education or certification is considered an assetCompensation: $22-$30 per hour, depending on experience.We look forward to meeting you!
