About the role
Braber Equipment , a well-established Canadian manufacturer, distributer and wholesaler of agricultural equipment and parts, is seeking an experienced Junior Purchaser to join our team.

The successful candidate is someone who has a strong background in supply chain management, contract negotiation, vendor management, and inventory control. If you are a highly motivated individual with a passion for supply chain management, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets
Oversee inventory levels and set the open-to-buy plan
Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations
Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization




Negotiate and improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing procurement best practice tools and methods
Build, maintain, and manage supplier relationships and prepare supplier performance report cards
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly purchasing reports to analyze performance and make improvements
Other duties, as required

Qualifications
Proven work experience as a Purchaser
Familiar with ERP and MRP systems, preferable Syspro
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Keen attention to detail and accuracy and strong analytical skills
Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills
Works independently and with a team
Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, stakeholders, and suppliers
Effective problem solving
Demonstrated commitment to professional and personal development
Effective team player with strong communication and collaboration skills
Thrives on challenges and embraces opportunities to learn and grow
Comfortable and confident communicating by phone

Education and Experience requirements:
Relevant business degree preferred; CPIM or CIPS or similar qualification is beneficial.
1 - 2 years’ experience or working in purchasing team within a manufacturing environment
