As a Charge Nurse within the Critical Care service at the Institute of Neurological Sciences, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while supporting and developing nursing teams. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical leadership, coordinate the day-to-day running of the ward, and ensure the highest standards of care are consistently maintained. implement and evaluate programmes of care to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient-centred careProvide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff, acting as a role model and source of expert advice within the ward environmentDeputise for the Senior Charge Nurse and take responsibility for the daily operational management of the ward when requiredSupervise, support and mentor registered nurses, support workers and students to promote learning and professional developmentMonitor and maintain standards of care, ensuring compliance with local policies, procedures, clinical guidelines and professional standardsParticipate in quality improvement activities, clinical audit and service development initiatives to enhance patient outcomesManage resources effectively, including staffing, equipment, supplies and workload allocation to support efficient service deliveryKnowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the jobRegistered Nurse with current NMC registrationRelevant post-registration qualification in Critical Care, Leadership or a related clinical specialtyRelevant or significant experience within a Critical Care, High Dependency Unit or comparable acute clinical environmentProven leadership, clinical decision-making and team management skills within a busy healthcare settingEvidence of continuing professional development and a commitment to maintaining and enhancing clinical knowledge and skillsRelevant or significant experience supporting quality improvement initiatives, clinical audit or service development activitiesExcellent communication,
