Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
WORK SETTING Construction
TASKS Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
CERTIFICATES, LICENCES, MEMBERSHIPS, AND COURSES Carpenter Trade Certification
Carpenter Red Seal Certificate
EQUIPMENT AND MACHINERY EXPERIENCE Hand tools
TRANSPORTATION/TRAVEL INFORMATION Own transportation
WORK CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES Bending, crouching, kneeling
Combination of sitting, standing, walking




Work with minimal supervision
OWN TOOLS/EQUIPMENT Tools
Steel-toed safety boots
