About DDP
Design de Plume Inc. is an Indigenously-owned, women-led creative agency with its headquarters in Sudbury, Ontario. We provide these services to governments, not-for-profits, cultural organizations, healthcare, and higher education institutions. DDP seeks to expand its operations both domestically and internationally with a team of dynamic and innovative professionals.

The role:
Design de Plume is looking for a Project Manager who likes bringing order to complex creative work without making the process feel rigid.

You’ll manage a mix of branding, web, print and strategy projects, working directly with clients and a multidisciplinary creative team. We’re looking for someone who stays a few steps ahead: keeping project plans current, spotting risks early, following through on details and making sure everyone knows what’s happening next.

What You’ll Do

Own multiple creative projects from kickoff through close-out, across branding, web, print and strategy

Build and actively maintain scopes, workbacks, budgets, project documentation and approvals

Stay ahead of timelines and dependencies, identifying risks and resolving issues before they become blockers

Act as the primary client contact, leading meetings, status updates and day-to-day communication

Translate client needs and feedback into clear, actionable direction for the project team

Coordinate internal reviews, QA and approvals across disciplines

Manage changing priorities and scope while keeping clients and internal teams aligned

Lead retrospectives and contribute to improving how projects are planned and delivered

What You Bring to the Team

Agency or studio experience:

You understand the pace and complexity of managing multiple client projects, priorities and project teams at once.

Robust project ownership: You keep scopes, workbacks, budgets and project documentation accurate and current throughout the life of a project.

A proactive approach: You spot risks before they become problems, follow up without being prompted and make sure loose ends actually get closed.

Clear, confident communication: You can lead client conversations, translate feedback into actionable next steps and keep the right people informed without over-communicating.

Comfort with ambiguity: You can take an unclear request or changing requirement, ask the right questions and create a practical path forward.

Sound judgement: You know when to solve something independently, when to involve the project team and when an issue needs to be escalated.

Collaborative instincts: You can work effectively with designers, developers, clients and other contributors while keeping responsibilities and expectations clear.

Curiosity and adaptability: You’re open to learning across cultures and disciplines and comfortable adjusting your approach when a project calls for it.

Compensation & Benefits at DDP:

$60,000 / year salary

2 weeks of holiday (plus paid closure between Christmas & New Years)

4 paid personal days / year

Extended health & dental benefits as well as RRSP-matching after 6 months of employment

Professional development allowance (training, certifications, etc)

The Details:

Full time, permanent

Probation period of 6 months

Candidates must currently reside in Canada

Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 4:30pm ET

While our hours follow Eastern Time, we offer flexibility for team members in other time zones to modify their schedules to maintain effective overlap and work-life balance.
