We are seeking a Certified Red Seal Journeyman Sprinkler System Installer to join our team of inspections and service specialists in Edmonton, AB at our AFPS Leduc Branch.Atco Fire Prevention Services is a multi-discipline fire and life safety company providing installation, inspection, testing, maintenance and repair services to all types of systems, including but not limited to sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, various special hazard and chemical suppression systems, portable fire extinguishers and emergency lighting. We operate throughout Alberta, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut, with branches in Calgary, AB. Leduc, AB. and Yellowknife, NT. This broad range of activities provides significant and unique opportunity for travel and professional development in the fire protection industry.Regular Duties and Responsibilities Include:Performing inspections, testing, and maintenance on sprinkler systems, and related fire protection equipment, in accordance with applicable NFPA standardsCompleting accurate and thorough inspection reports in a timely manner, including compiling detailed notes related to potential deficiency repairsCorrecting deficiencies found on sprinkler systems, and related fire protection equipment, in accordance with applicable NFPA standardsPerforming duties in a professional, efficient,



and safe mannerCommunicating effectively with managers and team members to efficiently facilitate the completion and smooth transition between jobs and various other tasksKeeping assigned fleet vehicle tidy and well stocked with material for jobsResponding to after hours emergency calls on a scheduled rotationAdditional Duties and Responsibilities May Include:Ordering and picking up materialTravelling out of town to complete jobs when requiredAssisting with completing jobs outside of the scope of sprinkler system work under the supervision and guidance of certified team members when directedPotential opportunities to become cross-certified in related aspects of the fire protection industryA successful candidate must have:Red seal journeyman certificate in the Sprinkler System Installer tradeCross-connection control testers certificateCompletion of one or more CFAA modulesField experience with fire alarm systemsExperience as a journeyman in the inspection and service aspect of the trade, including but not limited to correcting deficiencies, and trouble shootingClass 5 drivers license with a clean drivers abstractClean criminal record checkThe flexibility to, on occasion, accommodate different scheduling requirements and work outside of regular business hoursThe ability to work in physically demanding environments, including but not limited to ladder work, climbing stairs, kneeling, lifting, and working at or above shoulder heightConsidered an asset but not required:Fire Extinguisher certificationFirst Aid trainingArial work platform certificateFall arrest certificateWhat We OfferCompetitive wages & RRSP matchingComprehensive advantages & life insuranceCompany vehicle & mobile device compensationSupportive, team-oriented work environmentOngoing training and cross-certification opportunities
