The Kitting Clerk is a key member of the manufacturing team, responsible for ensuring that all electronic components and materials are accurately gathered, organized, and prepared into complete kits for manufacturing. This role directly impacts production efficiency, product quality, and on-time delivery by ensuring that assembly teams receive the correct parts in the proper condition. and materials according to production work orders and bills of materials (BOMs)Verify part numbers, quantities, and lot codes to ensure accuracy and traceabilityCollaborate with manufacturing and purchasing to resolve shortages or discrepanciesLabel and package kits according to company and industry standards (e.G., ESD-safe handling)Work closely with Production Planning to ensure that production kits are assembled with the appropriate components and quantities to satisfy the manufacturing run. This involves picking parts for kitting according to the pick list and our standard proceduresStage kits for production lines to meet manufacturing schedulesEssential Skills and Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent1+ years' experience in either a Receiver or Kitting or Order pickerExperience locating and selecting product in a stock-picking capacityStrong attention to detail, organization and administration skillsFamiliarity with ERP or inventory management softwareAbility to read and interpret BOMs, schematics, and work ordersAbility to accurately decipher part numbers of a similar sequence or number rangeAbility to work independently, take initiative and be self-motivatedKnowledge of current manufacturing processes/technologies; standards and specificationsWork experience with electronics components a definite assetProven capability of learning recent systems quicklyStrong math skills and an understanding of metric measurement will be an assetConnect Tech is committed to providing barrier-free and accessible employment practice in compliance with the Accessibilities for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (A.O.D.A.).
