Schedule may change with two weeks' noticeProbationary/qualifying period will be 488 hours with mid and end point reviews$33.49 - 35.31depending upon applicants' length of seniority (as per the Collective Agreement)Job SummaryThe Clinical Support Worker (CSW) reports to Site Manager and works in accordance with the mission and philosophy of Lookout Housing and Health Society including following Lookout's Code of Ethics. The CSW works with residents to provide assistance, support, education and skill training. Will work with resident to maintain and develop greater independence and stability with the goal of a healthier and more independent living arrangement.This position requires successful completion of respirator fit testing, as Lookout is COR (Certificate of Recognition) certified and must comply with WorkSafeBC health and safety requirements. To ensure a proper respirator seal during fit testing and use,



employees are required to be clean-shaven where the respirator seals against the face.Job DutiesWill participate in resident intake and provide support services and assessmentWill identify challenges for resident and develop service plans, crisis intervention, administer finances and medicationEnsure that basic needs are met by working closely with the individual on a long-term, ongoing basisComplete required paper work and maintain statistical and evaluative dataAssist with volunteers and practicum students on siteSome external work is likely to occur. Use of an automobile may at times be usefulCase planningEmployees are expected to remain alert and attentive during working hours. Sleeping during shifts is not permittedResponsible for complying with and contributing to all aspects of health and safety programOther duties as requiredQualifications & CompetenceRelated Diploma or Certificate or minimum Grade 12 education, plus two (2) year of recent related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experienceFamiliarity with community resources, particularly addiction, mental health and harm reduction.Must have current OFA 1 First Aid CertificateCrisis Intervention Skills Training an assetClass 4 driver's License an assetAbility to work independently or in a team settingStrong ability to manage stress and organize workloadExcellent communication, writing and documentation and organizational skills.Understands and maintain clientele/worker boundariesAbility to work with disadvantaged and challenging adults in a diverse environmentQuick learner and self-motivatedStrong physical and mental ability to perform work tasks and operate job related equipment.Minimum of two years sobriety requiredCriminal Record Clearance – vulnerable sectorClosing DateApplications will be accepted until October 6, 2026 at 5:00 pm
