You will work with 3 and 4-axis CNC vertical mills, producing recent precision components for demanding industries including aerospace, defence, nuclear, and medical.We are looking for machinists who can confidently set up and operate their own CNC machine. Programming is not required for this position.What You'll Be DoingSet up and operate 3 and 4-axis CNC vertical milling machinesPerform machine setups independently based on job requirementsLoad and unload existing CNC programs for setup and productionSet tools, fixtures, work offsets, and components for machiningRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job documentationUse precision measuring equipment to verify parts and maintain required tolerancesMonitor machining operations and make necessary adjustmentsInspect completed components to ensure quality requirements are metWork independently on your assigned machine while contributing to a collaborative machining teamManufacture precision components for aerospace, defence, nuclear, medical, and other advanced industriesFollow established quality, safety, and production proceduresWhat We're Looking For3+ years of CNC machining experienceHands-on experience with CNC setup and operationExperience operating 3-axis and/or 4-axis vertical CNC millsFanuc or Haas control experience is requiredStrong understanding of machining processes, tooling, fixtures,



and work offsetsAbility to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerancesComfortable working in a job shop / high-mix precision machining environmentStrong mechanical aptitude and attention to detailAbility to work independently and troubleshoot machining/setup issuesGood English communication skillsStrong AssetsPrevious aerospace or defence machining experiencePrevious job shop / custom precision machining experienceFamiliarity with MastercamCNC machining diploma, certificate, apprenticeship, or other formal machining trainingExperience producing complex, tight-tolerance componentsPlease note: This is a setup and operation position.
