Health insurance benefits available after a 6-month probationary period.ResponsibilitiesAnswering phones and returning patient messages promptlyBooking and managing appointmentsSending faxes and scanning documents into the electronic medical record (Accuro EMR)Maintaining organized, confidential patient recordsSupporting the practice's lifestyle medicine programming — helping organize, promote, and recruit participants for our monthly Walk With A Doc, mindfulness meditation sessions, cooking classes, and 8-week exercise programsRequirementsStrong computer literacy; experience with Accuro EMR an asset but not requiredMedical Office Administration certification an asset, but not requiredExcellent organizational skills and ability to manage a busy officeResponsible, trustworthy, and committed to patient confidentialityStrong interpersonal skills with empathy for patients navigating difficult timesComfortable with community outreach and event promotion
