We want to hear from you!At Sandvik, Ground Support Division, the Accounts Clerk: Accounts Receivable is responsible for supporting the company's financial operations through managing and supporting accounts receivable duties, as well as account reconciliations, variance analysis, and forecasting support. This position plays a key role in managing customer accounts, overdue invoices, and maintaining strong communication with our customers and sales departments. preparing internal and external working papers, supporting audits. The Accounts Clerk ensures compliance with accounting standards and contributes to system and process improvements that enhance financial visibility and accountability.What You Will Be DoingMonitoring, reporting and actioning all related accounts receivable tasks including customer accounts, sales invoices and payment receiptsCommunicating with sales staff and customers to ensure timely payment of customer invoicesMaintaining positive relationships with customers and sales staffCreating and reporting financial statements to finance and sales staffReconcile general ledger accounts monthly and resolve discrepanciesPrepare variance reports,
and investigate deviationsSupport with Month End/Year End closing tasksSupport with quarterly forecasting processesPreparation of VAT returns and supporting ad hoc tax queriesAssist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentationEnsure adherence to internal controls, policies, and GAAP/IFRS accounting standardsParticipate in ad hoc financial projects and continuous improvement initiativesCommunicate effectively with internal stakeholders and maintain high standards of data accuracyFunction as back-up for other roles within the Finance organization.Support and assist junior members of the team and act as a go-to for support across the teamRequired CompetenciesStrong understanding of accounts receivable, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and variance analysisAnalytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracyAbility to interpret financial results and provide actionable insightsEffective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with external organizations.High level of integrity and commitment to confidentialityMust be legally eligible to work in Canada.QualificationsAccounting technician diploma or working towards an accounting designation is preferredMinimum 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable, financial reporting or general accounting, preferably in a manufacturing workplace.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Syspro ERP system would be an asset.Experience with financial reporting tools (e.G., Power BI, Workiva,
