Become a key player at Metrolinx as the Manager of Soil and Groundwater Quality. This in-office role in Toronto focuses on environmental assessments and managing contamination across multiple project sites.
As a crucial member of Metrolinx’s Capital Projects Group, you will leverage your expertise in Phase 1 & 2 Environmental Site Assessments, soil management, and spill clean-up to support rapid transit projects. Your leadership will guide project managers and coordinators while liaising with external stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective environmental risk resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical oversight on environmental assessments and spill management
• Lead project teams for environmental regulatory compliance
• Support resolution of construction environmental issues
• Communicate environmental policies to stakeholders
• Review contracts and reports related to environmental matters
Requirements:
• Degree in Environmental Management or a related field
• Experience in environmental remediation and site assessments
• Knowledge of Ontario environmental legislation
• Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
