Summary of DutiesWorking with the professional team, the Patient Service Partner participates in the caring of patients by providing a variety of support services to the team and patients. Participates as a member of the team in a manner that reflects the Hospital philosophy and mission of service and promotes and maintains valuable public relations with patients, visitors and Hospital staff. Patient Service Partner working in the RTBC will be required to assist with patient care; decontamination of patients care areas and equipment, and assist with ordering of supplies.Qualifications/SkillsMinimum Grade 11 or equivalent as recognized by the Province of Ontario Ministry of EducationPSW Certificate or completed the Sunnybrook PSP (formerly PSA) course requiredInfection Prevention and Control Certificate requiredAbility to speak,



read and write EnglishPrevious PSP experience in critical care or trauma preferredRecent PSP experience requiredMust be accustomed to high patient acuityProven ability to work under pressure and to handle various tasks within a limited time frameFlexibility and willingness to take directionMust have attended WHMIS trainingCPI training an assetMust be prepared and able to use all personal protective equipmentLiaises with patients and visitors on a regular basis demonstrating excellent customer serviceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated collaborative skills working in a team environment.
