Become the Land Use Planner at Saulteau First Nations and support sustainable land management initiatives. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, analyzing regulations, and ensuring community engagement.
As a Land Use Planner, you will work under the Lands Manager to optimize land use and support projects aligned with Saulteau's goals. Key responsibilities include conducting technical reviews of land applications and collaborating with various professionals to develop site plans. This role will see you interacting with SFN Citizens and various government departments to enhance community well-being and adherence to policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review land-use applications for compliance and feasibility
• Conduct in office assessments and technical analysis
• Collaborate with engineers and architects on project plans
• Communicate development requirements to multiple stakeholders
• Assist in drafting land-use policies and bylaw updates
Requirements:
• Diploma in land-use planning or related field
• At least two years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of Indigenous land management processes
• Experience with GIS software is preferred
• Valid BC Driver’s Licence required
