Reporting to the Director, Service Planning and Operational Readiness, this impactful role will support the activation of Niagara Health's new hospital by leading and coordinating transition, training, and operational readiness activities related to the Automated Transport System (ATS).The Role:The ATS Transition & Training Specialist is a key member of the Operational Readiness team supporting the implementation and adoption of Niagara Health's Automated Transport System (ATS). The ATS supports material movement across Food Services, Logistics, Linen, Waste, Pharmacy, Laboratory, and Medical Device Reprocessing (MDR).Working closely with clinical and non-clinical teams, vendor partners, and internal project groups, the successful candidate will support workflow integration, testing, training, user readiness, and change management activities to ensure safe and effective ATS operations.A key focus of this role is coordinating ATS training, simulations, workflow validation, and orientation programs to ensure staff readiness for Day 1 operations and successful long-term adoption. The ideal candidate brings strong project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills,



with the ability to support complex operational change initiatives.We are seeking an innovative and highly organized professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about operational excellence, continuous improvement, and exceptional patient care.Key Responsibilities Include:Lead and coordinate ATS operational readiness activities across impacted service areasDocument, validate, and optimize ATS-enabled workflows to support secure and efficient operationsSupport integration of ATS workflows into departmental processes, including supply chain, medication delivery, specimen transport, and waste managementCoordinate ATS training, education, simulations, and user readiness activitiesDevelop and maintain training materials, job aids, standard operating procedures, and downtime processesSupport testing activities, including workflow validation, user acceptance testing, simulations, and go-live readiness assessmentsSupport ATS super users and champions to facilitate peer training and ongoing adoptionIdentify operational risks and gaps and support mitigation planningFacilitate communication, engagement, and change management activities across operational and project teamsMonitor training completion, readiness metrics, and user feedback to support continuous improvementSupport transition planning, move readiness activities, and opening-day operationsQualifications:College Diploma or University Degree in Healthcare, Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum five (5) years of experience in operational readiness, healthcare operations, logistics, training and education, change management, project implementation, or a related fieldExperience supporting complex projects, technology implementations, operational transformation initiatives, or large-scale organizational changeDemonstrated experience designing and delivering training programs, simulations, and educational resources for diverse groupsStrong understanding of healthcare operations, logistics, supply chain processes, workflow design,



or automated transport systemsProven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in complex, fast-paced environmentsStrong communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and relationship-building skillsExperience with healthcare redevelopment, hospital activation, operational readiness, workflow validation, or transition planningExperience with Automated Transport Systems (ATS), logistics systems, simulation-based training, or supply chain operations considered an assetProject Management certification (CAPM, PMP, or equivalent) considered an assetProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and digital collaboration toolsFlexible, self-directed, and able to work effectively both independently and collaborativelyExcellent work performance and attendance record requiredQuestions, quoting the job posting number, may be directed to [email protected] Niagara Health, we value diversity, equity and inclusion, and welcome applications from all people.
