Become a key support role at the Indian Residential School History and Dialogue Centre as a Program Assistant. This position involves reception tasks and event coordination while respecting Indigenous perspectives.The Program Assistant will be vital in executing logistical support for various programs and events at the Centre, working closely with the Operations and Special Projects Manager. The role requires a deep understanding of the impact of residential schools on Indigenous peoples, along with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. You will coordinate meetings, manage schedules,
and ensure effective communication among stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Organize complex event logistics and proceduresManage reception and provide front-line supportCoordinate catering and AV needs for meetingsCollaborate on special Elders-in-Residence programmingMaintain office supplies and general facilities supportRequirements:High School diploma plus two years post-secondary educationFour years related experience or equivalentStrong cultural awareness regarding Indigenous issuesProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteExceptional organizational and communication skillsServe the community and support the IRSHDC mission by applying your skills as a Program Assistant.
