Valard Construction seeks a Project Accountant in Calgary or Edmonton, AB, to ensure financial success in Transmission Line projects. Use your expertise in accounting and cost control to manage budgets effectively.

As a key contributor to our Transmission group, you will support full life-cycle accounting functions. Collaborating closely with the Project Controller and Project Managers, your role includes tracking costs, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with Valard's standards. You will also focus on maintaining budget integrity and supporting client billing.

Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and maintain project data in JD Edwards
• Review, correct cost coding, and support field staff
• Manage cost accruals and journal entry processes




• Administer client billings and monitor accounts receivable
• Facilitate audits and manage job closeout processes

Requirements:
• Post-Secondary education in Finance or Accounting
• 5 years of experience in project accounting
• Knowledge of construction revenue recognition principles
• Experience with JD Edwards or SAP software
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
