Join the agile team at the təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Centre as an Auxiliary Pool Service Worker. This role demands routine maintenance and inspection skills to ensure aquatic facility operations.
The City of New Westminster is looking for three dedicated individuals with at least two years of experience in similar roles. Candidates should possess Pool Operator Level 1 and 2 certifications, a Building Service Worker certificate, and a clear Police Information Check. Your responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness, operating pool equipment, and performing semi-skilled maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on pool equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of washrooms, changing rooms, and lobby
• Operate and adjust swimming pool equipment as necessary
• Perform janitorial duties and minor repairs as needed
• Manage small inventory of chemicals, requesting re-orders
Requirements:
• Two years experience in a similar role
• Pool Operator Level 1 and 2 certification
• Building Service Worker certificate preferred
• WHMIS certificate required
• Clear Police Information Check needed
