Extendicare seeks a dedicated Recreation Aide to assist with program planning alongside the Recreation Manager. You will support residents through planned outings and activities while helping with assessments and feedback. Previous experience in health care or group program planning will help you thrive in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning meaningful programs for residents
• Maintain accurate department records of resident activities
• Communicate updates on events to residents and families




• Facilitate outings and scheduled activities for residents
• Assist with Restorative Dining tasks during meals
Requirements:
• Post-secondary diploma in recreation or related field
• Experience with older adult populations preferred
• Robust communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to provide a recent Vulnerable Sector Check
