As a Laboratory Assistant (Float), you will assist in obtaining quality blood samples and perform essential tests, embodying Dynacare’s mission of care and wellness. Your empathetic approach will enhance patient experiences, ensuring that anxiety is minimized during sample collection. This part-time role offers 24 guaranteed hours a week, featuring shifts primarily between Monday and Saturday.
Key Responsibilities:
• Obtain quality blood samples using phlebotomy techniques
• Conduct ECGs and other patient tests reliably
• Accurately enter patient and test data for requisitions
• Sort and prepare specimens for laboratory transport
• Maintain confidentiality and contribute to quality metrics
Requirements:
• Secondary School diploma and specialized training in phlebotomy
• Customer-focused attitude for patient care
• Detail-oriented with effective time management
• Solid communication skills in English
• MLPAO/CSMLS Certification preferred
