As a Ferry Mate, you represent the Department of Public Works with professionalism and courtesy. This vital role involves directing vehicle and passenger traffic, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting in safety equipment management. Additionally, you will support the engineer with mechanical tasks and take command in emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Direct vehicle and passenger traffic efficiently
• Maintain and secure fire and safety equipment
• Assist the engineer with mechanical duties on the ferry
• Ensure cleanliness of the ferry at all times
• Assume command in case of Captain's absence

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of seafaring experience
• Marine Emergency Duties Domestic Vessel Safety Certificate
• Seafarer’s Marine Medical Certificate
• Marine First Aid Certificate
