Become a Trades and Manufacturing Educator with Ampere in Kawartha Lakes, ON. This full time position focuses on creating impactful training programs in trades and manufacturing.
In this role, you will work closely with the Trades and Manufacturing Lead to facilitate engaging workshops and training sessions. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the Makerspace Shop, collaborating with STEAM educators, and developing community-driven resources. A passion for workforce development in rural and Indigenous communities is essential, along with experience in trades.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop training programs focusing on trades and manufacturing
• Assist in maintaining the Makerspace Shop and equipment
• Collaborate with community partners to identify programming needs
• Deliver high-quality, community-centered STEAM programming
• Engage with learners to ensure accessible programming
Requirements:
• Experience working in Trades or Manufacturing
• Strong operational and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel regularly to different communities
• Interest in workforce development in diverse settings
• Valid driver's license for travel
