Engage with Newcomer youth as a Part-Time Casual Youth Worker, assisting in event planning and employability skills. Flexibility is key with shifts available during evenings and weekends.
This part time position offers 10-20 hours per week, focusing on developing employability skills through community engagement and project planning. You will assist participants in creating five community projects aimed at attracting 75-100 attendees each, support their academic planning, and encourage their participation in workshops.
Key Responsibilities:
• Recruit and register Newcomer youth for the program
• Offer one-on-one support and coaching to participants
• Develop and facilitate engaging workshops
• Guide youth in creating community-focused projects/events
• Build relationships with community partners and stakeholders
Requirements:
• Education in business, education, or related fields
• Event planning experience in-person or virtually
• Experience managing volunteers in high-pressure projects
• Proven ability to work with youth
• Comfortable using tech tools like MS Office and Zoom
Support youth in their journey to develop vital skills and facilitate their projects.
