Construction Trades Helpers and Labourers
Employment Type Full-time, Permanent
Hours per Week 35-40 hours
Education High School Diploma
Location Brandon, MB
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Assist concrete finishers and skilled tradespeople with various construction tasks
Load, unload, and transport construction materials and equipment to job sites
Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris and setting up work areas
Mix and prepare concrete, mortar, and other construction materials
Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Dig trenches, footings, and foundations using hand tools and machinery
Assist with formwork installation and removal
Help with concrete pouring, spreading, and basic finishing tasks
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Follow all health and safety protocols and regulations
Perform general labour duties as assigned by supervisors
Assist with equipment maintenance and care
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Physical ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Basic understanding of construction safety practices
Reliable transportation to job sites
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Good teamwork and communication skills
Previous construction experience is an asset but not required
Painters and Decorators
$26.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities & Duties
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming
Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
Mix paints and match colors according to specifications
Use brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to apply coatings
Apply protective and decorative coatings to concrete surfaces
Perform surface preparation including filling cracks and holes
Install and remove masking tape and protective coverings
Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment
Follow safety procedures when working with chemicals and at heights
Estimate material requirements for painting projects
Inspect completed work for quality and touch up as needed
Collaborate with other trades to coordinate work schedules
Maintain accurate records of materials used and time spent
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of painting experience preferred
Knowledge of paint types, application methods, and surface preparation
Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
Experience with spray equipment and various painting tools
Good color vision and attention to detail
Physical ability to stand, bend, and work in various positions
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Knowledge of safety procedures and WHMIS certification preferred
$22.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities & Duties
Set up and install concrete forms and reinforcement materials
Pour, level, and finish concrete surfaces including driveways, sidewalks, and foundations
Use hand and power tools to smooth and finish concrete surfaces
Apply various concrete finishes including broom, trowel, and exposed aggregate
Cut joints and apply sealers to finished concrete surfaces
Repair and patch existing concrete structures
Operate concrete finishing equipment including screeds, floats, and trowels
Monitor concrete curing process and apply protective coverings
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Ensure concrete work meets quality standards and specifications
Collaborate with other trades and coordinate work schedules
Maintain and clean tools and equipment
Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of concrete finishing experience preferredKnowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques
Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments
Experience with concrete tools and finishing equipment
Ability to read basic blueprints and specifications
Physical strength to handle heavy materials and work in demanding conditions
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
