Join the Radiology-Ultra Sound team at Vancouver General Hospital as a Medical Diagnostic Sonographer with Vancouver Coastal Health. Perform a range of ultrasound examinations while adhering to client and family-centered care.
This position requires a graduate from a recognized medical diagnostic sonography program and certification with Sonography Canada or ARDMS. You will perform abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, and vascular examinations, ensuring patient safety and effective communication. Expect to work a fixed rotation including alternating weekends, participating in committees and projects for continuous qualified growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct diverse ultrasound examinations including abdominal and pelvic
• Prepare patients and complete requisitions accurately




• Ensure patient safety practices are consistently followed
• Enter diagnostic data into imaging information system
• Engage in committees and research as assigned
Requirements:
• Graduate of accredited sonography program
• Certification with Sonography Canada or ARDMS
• Minimum two years pediatric experience for BC Children’s Hospital
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques in sonography
• Strong communication skills with patients and healthcare staff
