ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Director of Test and Quality ControlMaintain, troubleshoot, repair and support IP-based broadcast, telecommunications and computer network systems including routers, fiber transmission systems, SDVN and multiviewer platformsInspect hardware to component level, ensuring product complies to latest build sheets and assembly drawingsTest and validate that hardware meets all operational requirements by completing defined test and quality control proceduresInstall, configure and verify firmware, operating systems, software applications, network settings and licensing required for product operation and customer deploymentSetup and operate specialized test diagnostic tools and monitoring equipment, including video waveform monitors, audio analyzers, network traffic monitors, oscilloscopes and digital multi-metersDiagnose hardware, software and network-related issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to restore system functionality.Provide technical support and problem-solving assistance within and external to the Test department regarding hardware, software and networking systemsProvide training to team members within and external to the Test department as requiredBuild, operate and update test jigsParticipate in on-time delivery of quality products for Evertz customersReport status of daily test assignments to Test CoordinatorsCompliance with all Evertz Policies and ProceduresOther related duties and responsibilities as requiredQualificationsElectronics / Computer Engineering DiplomaExperience in electronics testing and troubleshooting is an assetFamiliar with troubleshooting techniques and the ability to read technical drawings and schematicsStrong manual dexterity and experience working with test measuring toolsAbility to diagnose and correct root causes of equipment and product/process related failuresExcellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving ability, and time management skillsEnjoy working in a fast-paced environmentWhat we OfferEmployer funded perks programCompetitive total compensation packageWork-life balanceEmployee Assistance planEmployee Discount PlatformCareer progressionCasual work environmentSocial events and sports teamsLocationLocation: Burlington, Ontario (in-office position)Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours.Vacancy: This is an existing position.Salary Range: $42K - $44K CADAbout Evertz Microsystems (TSX: ET)Evertz is a global leader in broadcast technology, delivering cutting-edge hardware and software solutions that deliver content to television sets, on-demand services, WebTV, IPTV, and mobile devices (like phones and tablets) worldwide.
