You've never worked for a trades business like this before.Take a look at our instagram to get a better idea of the culture HERE!Position Type & Schedule:Full time with seasonal fluctuations – expect to be busier during spring/fall season changes, and slightly less in the middle of summer and winter. All start times 6:30AM or slightly later, depending on operational needs. Summer is Monday to Thursday with occasional Friday's, Winter is on-call - we work when Mother Nature says we do!This position is available from October to May and is seasonal. Skills and Qualifications in the Landscape and Snow Removal industry.Position OverviewThe Maintenance Crew Lead is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks in order to manage the timely completion of grounds maintenance service contracts through Winter and Summer services. The Crew Lead is be required to supervise a crew of laborers and operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specified job tasks, as well provide daily progress reporting on job time and cost data.Core Capabilities:Customer and quality focus. As a leader you help shape the mindset of your crews; successful applicants must have a good attitude about work, and be able to motivate othersAccountable and dependableExcellent communication skills (both verbal and written)Thrives with team workExcellent problem solving abilitiesJob Duties:Plan and manage the loading/unloading of trucks and trailers in the AM and PM including all daily labor, equipment and materials required to complete daily objectivesSnow RemovalOperate power equipment including, but not limited to, blowers, Kabota's, Skid Steers, lawn tractors, lawn mowers, line trimmers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters, chain sawsSupervise the work of crew members to ensure proper safety, quality, and productivityInspect all work for quality to eliminate the need for return visits and/or re-work due to quality or customer satisfaction issuesTrain crew members on proper and safe job methodsConduct daily inspections and maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipmentAssist in other job-related duties including construction projects, shop and yard maintenance, vehicle and equipment maintenanceComplete and submit all required paperwork on a daily basis, including: daily hazard assessments, daily time and service record forms, equipment daily inspection forms, etc.Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites,



and shop/yard areasEnsure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and that all crew members are in compliance with OHS and company PPE standardsComply with all company policies and regulationsWork in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulationsCommunicate with customers in a polite and courteous mannerRequirements:Minimum 2 full years (Summer and Winter) experience in the landscape/grounds maintenance industryClass 5 Drivers License and the ability to drive a truck and trailerCapable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible mannerEffective communication skills – must be able to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signs, complete daily reports to office and/or customersTime management skillsKnowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practicesAbility to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a teamAbility to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasksAbility to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shiftAbility to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materialsA genuine, trustworthy person that will contribute to our work environment in a positive way.
