WORK SETTING Dental practice
TASKS Consult with dentists on patient care
Take dental impressions
Instruct patients regarding oral hygiene
Clean and stimulate the gums to prevent gum disease
Apply fluoride treatment
Remove stains and deposits from teeth
Take, develop and mount X-rays
CERTIFICATES, LICENCES, MEMBERSHIPS, AND COURSES Dental Hygienists Licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body
