Job Description Job Title: Quality Assurance Intern
Rail Pass Type: Internship/Co‑op (Full‑time/Hybrid)

Position Summary The successful candidate will be introduced to the exciting world of urban transit at Hitachi Rail. You will be exposed to and be able to contribute to process/practices improvements and to vastly improve your understanding of project/product lifecycle and process associated with it.




Key Areas of Responsibility Assist North America Quality department on various tasks related to software and hardware quality assurance
Implement AI use case to reduce cost conducting quality activities e.g. Automate collection of metrics, create AI use cases to reduce effort.
Participate as Active member of the AI committee to understand and contribute with AI ideas
Assist Quality Assurance Manager in follow up on various tasks: Support the metrics collection and update KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for the Quality Organization
Support Project Quality Managers (PQMs) with metrics included in Monthly Quality Report
Update scripts or tools used by Quality Assurance team
Manage the Customer Surveys to collect feedback from the customers
Accountable to monitor milestones to send the customer surveys
Assist other departments on as needed basis
Required Skills and Experience The successful candidate must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering or a related field at an accredited university, such as Artificial Intelligence Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
Completed at least 2 years of undergraduate course
Fluent in English both in written and oral communication skills
Able to work full time hours (40 hours) with the start date and the agreed work term
Desire and ability to learn quickly and to contribute
Ability to work independently (find solutions and seek help when needed)
Hands‑on experience with Excel and PowerPoint, Power BI and Microsoft Power Automate, Phyton, JavaScripts/SQL and Cloud Platform like Microsoft Azures,



Copilot.
