Support survivors of human trafficking in a permanent role as a Victim Services Navigator located in Sydney, NS. Engage with community resources to aid victims through the justice system.
The Department of Justice is seeking a dedicated Human Trafficking Navigator to provide essential support for victims and families of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. You’ll coordinate services, maintain confidentiality, and deliver culturally appropriate resources. Additionally, your work will promote diversity and create community outreach initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver victim services within the Provincial Victim Services Program
• Maintain a caseload while ensuring client confidentiality
• Collaborate with community organizations for effective service delivery
• Assess risks according to established protocols
• Participate in outreach, training, and initiatives for human trafficking
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences with three years of experience
• Knowledge of victims’ rights and related legislation
• Experience working with vulnerable populations
• Robust communication and interpersonal skills
• Access to transportation for travel needs
