In this role, you'll apply your concrete finishing expertise while supporting the installation of underground utilities, street lighting, and civil infrastructure projects throughout the Edmonton area.If you're looking for stable year-round work, local projects, and the opportunity to contribute your trade skills to meaningful infrastructure projects, we'd like to hear from you.What You'll DoAs a Concrete Finisher / Utility Installer, you will perform concrete finishing activities that support the installation of street lighting, underground utilities, and related infrastructure projects throughout the Edmonton region.Working alongside experienced Foremen, Lead Hands, and construction crews, you'll play a key role in ensuring concrete work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.Responsibilities Include:Performing concrete finishing activities for infrastructure and utility construction projectsAssisting with concrete placement, finishing, curing, and restoration workSupporting the installation of street lighting and utility infrastructure foundationsAssisting with formwork setup and preparationEnsuring finished concrete meets project specifications and quality standardsSupporting utility installation activities as requiredLoading, unloading, and moving construction materialsMaintaining clean, organized, and protected worksitesParticipating in Task Hazard Assessments (THAs)



and Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs)Identifying hazards and contributing to safe work practicesWorking collaboratively with crews to ensure projects are completed safely and efficientlyWhat You BringWe're looking for candidates with experience in concrete finishing, concrete placement, concrete restoration, formwork, civil construction, utility construction, and municipal infrastructure projects.Required QualificationsValid driver's licence and reliable transportationAbility to lift up to 75 lbs.Minimum 1-2 years of experience in concrete finishingExperience placing, finishing, and repairing concreteAbility to produce quality concrete work while maintaining productivityPhysically fit and capable of performing demanding outdoor construction workStrong commitment to safety and quality workmanshipAbility to work effectively as part of a construction crewWillingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsAssets That Will Help You Stand OutWhile not required, we'd love to hear from candidates who have:Concrete finishing experience on municipal or infrastructure projectsExperience forming, placing, and finishing concrete foundationsStreet lighting foundation experienceSidewalk, curb, pad, or utility concrete restoration experienceUnderground utility construction experienceCivil construction experienceTelecommunications construction experienceCSTS 2020 CertificationStandard First Aid & CPR CertificationWHMIS CertificationExperience operating skid steersExperience operating construction equipmentDon't meet every asset listed?
