We operate at the intersection of branding, technology, and demand generation—delivering solutions that are both creatively compelling and built to drive measurable results.Role OverviewTreefrog is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Finance Manager to join our team on a full time basis for a newly recreated position. This role sits at the financial core of our agency operations. While you will run the day-to-day financial operations, you will collaborate strategically with the Director of Finance. You will independently oversee all accounting operations, compliance, and reporting, ensuring our leadership team has the financial clarity needed to make informed decisions. The ideal candidate thrives in a small agency environment, is a self-starter who can manage all financial functions on their own, and brings deep expertise in agency-specific accounting practices.Key Responsibilities:AccountingProcess and manage daily and weekly journal entries along with bank feed matching.Oversee all revenue tracking, generate accurate client invoices, and ensure billing alignment with project scopesProactively manage Accounts Receivable, follow up on outstanding invoices, and maintain healthy collection cyclesHandle Accounts Payable by tracking vendor invoices, scheduling payments,



and managing vendor relationshipsLead and execute the full month-end close process independently, ensuring accuracy and timelinessManage payroll cycles and review, approve, and reconcile team expensesTrack, manage, and report on weekly cash flow to ensure agency liquidity and operational stabilityTaxHandle all source deductions and overall payroll accounting managementPrepare, reconcile, and file quarterly HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) remittancesManage and remit Ontario Employer Health Tax (EHT) returnsPrepare all necessary year-end documentation and partner with external accountants to facilitate annual corporate tax filingsFinanceGenerate detailed financial reports, providing leadership with clear analytics on agency profitability and healthLeverage AI and automation tools to enhance financial reporting, analysis, and overall finance process efficiencyLeverage our Project Management Software (Scoro) for accurate project financial tracking, time-tracking translation to cost, and profitability reportingPartner with the executive and client service teams to forecast revenue, manage sales pipelines, and project future growthDevelop, implement, and monitor internal budgets across different agency departmentsRequired Skills & ExperienceMinimum of five years of progressive work experience in finance and/or accounting functionsAdvanced proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and AI tools,



leveraging technology to enhance financial analysis, reporting, and process efficiencyProfessional accounting designation (e.G., CPA, ACCA) preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant accounting experienceProven hands-on experience as a Finance Manager (or similar senior accounting role) within a professional services companyPrevious experience working in a marketing, creative, or digital agency is highly preferredDemonstrated ability to independently run a full-cycle finance department for a small businessPreference for a successful candidate will be located in OntarioTools & PlatformsExtensive, hands-on experience managing books utilizing QuickBooks OnlineExperience working with Scoro or other project management softwareExperience utilizing online Payroll platforms; Rippling experience preferred but not requiredWhat We Offer YouRemote-first work with quarterly in-person attendance at company "State of the Union" held in the GTA regionWorking hours 9-5 pm EST, Monday to FridaySalary Range - $80,000-$100,000Generous progressive paid time off (PTO) that rewards your loyalty: starting at 10 days in your first year, expanding to 15 days in year two, 20 days by year six, and reaching 25 days after a decade of service.8 Flex Days a year for all that "life stuff" because we know appointments, errands, and unexpected moments don't always wait for the weekend.Diverse clientele and project typesReporting & Team StructureReports to: Director, FinanceTreefrog is an equal opportunity employer.
