Lead culturally grounded programs to support First Nations families as the Manager of Intervention Services. This full-time role emphasizes trauma-informed practices and community engagement in Alberta.
Reporting to the Director of Child & Family Services, you'll oversee child protection, family support, and service placement in accordance with the Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act. Your focus on cultural continuity, family preservation, and capacity building will guide collaborative efforts with families, Elders, and community organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Mentor Supervisors and casework staff in Intervention programs
• Manage complex cases with a culturally informed perspective
• Evaluate family and wellness plans for progress and safety
• Engage communities using culturally relevant decision-making
• Lead strategic initiatives and continuous quality improvement
Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or related field
• Minimum 5 years in child and family services, 2 in management
• Eligibility for Alberta College of Social Workers registration
• Knowledge of Indigenous community practices and protocols
• Explicit Criminal Record and Child Intervention checks
