As a proactive OHS Advisor, you'll champion a loss-prevention culture through the City’s strategic plan, the Roadmap to Loss Prevention. You will provide essential technical expertise and advise leaders and staff to implement health and safety policies effectively, ensuring compliance and reducing liability. This collaborative position will play a key role in improving safety standards across Edmonton's diverse services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a primary OHS technical resource
• Educate and support leaders in safety policies
• Bridge corporate services and frontline providers
• Coordinate leadership review events
• Assess effectiveness of safety programs
Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
• 4-8 years of OHS experience based on qualifications
• Knowledge of municipal governance
• CRSP or CRST certification preferred
• Solid problem-solving and communication skills
