They must be physically and mentally able to perform the duties of the position, having regard to their safety and the safety of members of the public to be eligible for this post.

They must complete at least four years of secondary school education or its equivalent.

They must maintain good moral character and habits, meaning that they are an individual that other people view as being trustworthy and having integrity.
