Applicantsare required to have a demonstrated knowledge,understanding and commitment to this care philosophy.Reporting to the Manager of Medical Services, you will beresponsible for providing quality nursing care to patientsincluding complex patient populations whose outcomes are notpredictable. As part of a multidisciplinary health careteam, you will practice within the Professional Standards of theCollege of Nurses of Ontario, the Philosophy ofpatient and family centered care, mission vision, Values and thepolicies of Thunder Bay Regional Health SciencesCentre.Applicants must have the following qualification:Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse withthe College of Nurses of Ontario, or the ability to become licensed with the College of Nurses of OntarioCurrent certification in BCLSRecent experience in Medical Nursing with experience in thecare of complex patient populations, with a focus on renal patient populationsAbility to use the Nursing Process (assessment, planning,implementation, evaluation)



in conjunction with her/his basic and ongoing knowledge to arrive at individualized careplanning and deliveryCollaborates and provides consult to Registered PracticeNurse's when patients assigned to the RPN become unstable or have outcomes that are not as expectedIdentify and recognize abnormal or unexpected patient responsesand take appropriate actionAbility to simultaneously manage multiple nursing interventionsStrong interprofessional and communication skillsCentral Venous Line ManagementPreference for applicants:Have a certification, or recent continuing education in MedicalNursingSalary Range: $41.150 to 58.980The Health Sciences Centre strives to ensure the safety andsecurity of the patients, visitors, employees and assetsfinancial and otherwise.
