This permanent position focuses on parts salvage using advanced welding techniques. You will need to be an apprentice or certified journeyperson welder and possess skills in interpreting blueprints and specifications. Working mainly indoors can involve exposure to noise and vibrations, with responsibilities including cutting, forming, and operating various welding equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Repair worn parts to original specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints for welding accuracy
• Fit sub-assemblies together for welding preparation
• Operate semi-automatic and manual welding equipment
• Use brazing and soldering tools safely
Requirements:
• Journeyperson welding ticket or Red Seal required
• Experience in Heavy Equipment repairs is an asset
• Ability to lift materials up to 40 pounds
• Comfortable working in unusual positions
• Must successfully pass drug testing and background checks
