Job Overview:

EFESO Management Consultants is looking for Maintenance and Reliability Contract Professionals to provide expert advice and services to organizations on optimizing their maintenance and reliability programs. You will help companies improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, lower maintenance costs, and enhance overall operational efficiency. This includes conducting analysis, developing strategies, providing training, and implementing best practices. Industry focus on either Process Manufacturing, including; Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage, Specialty & Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Metals/Mining or Discrete Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities of a Maintenance and Reliability Consultant:

Root Cause Analysis: Identifying the underlying causes of equipment failures to prevent recurrence.

Data Analysis: Analyzing equipment performance data to identify trends, predict failures, and optimize maintenance activities.

Maintenance Strategy Development: Creating and implementing maintenance plans that align with business objectives, considering criticality, risk, and cost.

Risk Assessment: Conducting risk assessments to prioritize maintenance efforts and minimize potential downtime or safety hazards.

Preventive and Predictive Maintenance:



Developing and implementing programs for preventing failures before they occur and using predictive technologies to identify potential issues in advance.

Training and Support: Providing training and technical support to maintenance personnel to ensure proper implementation and utilization of maintenance strategies.

Continuous Improvement: Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and maintenance practices.

Asset Management: Managing assets throughout their lifecycle, from procurement to decommissioning, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Cost Optimization: Analyzing and optimizing maintenance costs to reduce overall expenses without compromising reliability.

Collaboration and Communication: Working effectively with cross-functional teams, including maintenance managers, process engineers, operators, and other stakeholders, to achieve common goals.

Accountabilities/Results/Success:

Maintaining and improving the QRO (Quantitative Reliability Optimization) program at the site

Influencing the customer through data driven justifications to make better reliability decisions

Soft Skills:

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and draw conclusions.

Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve reliability problems.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate technical information effectively and work collaboratively with others across many levels.

Project Management Skills: Ability to manage projects from start to finish.

Work Environment & Additional Information

Type of role: Contract

Client environments: may require standing and/or walking for long periods

Proficiency in English and French, preferred

Visa: Contractors have their own TN visa, if working on US based projects

Requirements

Education and Certifications:

Required: a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or in a related engineering, A master’s degree preferred

Preferred Skilled Certifications: CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professionals) or ASQ (American Society of Quality)



or CRE (Certified Reliability Engineer)

Skills and Experience:

5 to 15+ years of experience in reliability engineering and work management related processes

Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of maintenance and reliability engineering principles and practices required

Experience in a specific industry, such as process Manufacturing, including; Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage, Specialty & Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Metals/Mining or Discrete Manufacturing

Knowledge of maintenance management systems (CMMS) and/or Asset Management systems

Experience with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM)

Preferred Qualifications/Software:

Working knowledge of SAP or SAP S/4 Hanna, Maximo systems

Familiarity with API, ASME, NACE, CSA and other relevant codes and standards, as well as jurisdictional and legal requirements for pressure equipment

Experience with incident investigation and root cause failure analysis (RCA/RCFA)

Creation of maintenance routine duties

Facilitated RCA’s at operating facilities

Experienced in Surveillance and Operations

Specific health and safety certifications may be required, determined by location of work and company requirements

Compensation

The wage range for these roles considers a wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including skill sets; years of experience and training; level brought in, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of any range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The daily rate range is $1000 - $1200 USD, based on level identified in the interview process.
