The Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese (the CISVA) operates 46 schools – 40 elementary and6 high schools. JOB DESCRIPTION
St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Secondary School seeks a qualified, enthusiastic teacher to join our school community. The anticipated full-time teaching assignment includes Social Studies 9 and English 8/9, with the possibility of teaching Religion 11, depending on the successful candidate’s background and experience.

St. Thomas Aquinas is a Catholic secondary school serving students in Grades 8–12. We are committed to providing a strong academic program within a faith-filled community that supports the intellectual, spiritual, social, and personal growth of our students.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will:

Hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate.

Demonstrate strong classroom management and an ability to build positive relationships with students.

Plan and deliver engaging, academically rigorous instruction in Social Studies and English.

Work collaboratively with colleagues, administration, and support staff.

Support the mission, values, and Catholic identity of St. Thomas Aquinas and the Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese.

Experience or qualifications in teaching Religion are an asset.

We are looking for an educator who is student-centred, collaborative, and committed to contributing positively to the broader life of the school.

On an on-going basis, we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics, non-Catholics, new education grads, and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply.
