The role involves supporting employees during work-related injury absences. This includes evaluating obstacles to prompt return to work and collaborating with stakeholders to implement solutions. The role also involves facilitating return to work or an alternative plan.
Responsibilitie s Meeting with clients to address workplace injuries.
Managing workplace injury claims, minimizing time-loss and claim costs through early intervention and proactive co-ordination of services.
Ensuring regular and open lines of communication with clients, injured workers, and the provincial Workers’ Compensation Boards.
Liaising with the provincial Workers’ Compensation Boards.
Reviewing claim files.
Interpreting provincial workers’ compensation legislation, policies and procedures.
Filing reports of injury, identifying appeal issues, drafting letters of objection.
Coordinating case management activities including developing, implementing and monitoring return to work and rehabilitation strategies.
Facilitating 3rd party interventions (functional capacity evaluations, independent medical evaluations).




Requirements Work experience in a workers’ compensation claims management capacity either in an in-house capacity at a private company or in a third-party consulting capacity with corresponding knowledge of workers’ compensation statutes, policies and procedures,and workplace health and safety would be an asset
Be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Have Education in a related field, human resource and/or health and safety and/or insurance certificate-designation are assets. In the absence of these qualifications, significant consideration will be given to applicants with claims management experience.
A paralegal license is required in the role.

Salary Pay Range Minimum: 67,500.00 CAD
Maximum: 82,500.00 CAD
