The Board is currently seeking a Cleaner to join our energetic team.Under the direction of the Manager of Facility Services/designate, cleaners perform various duties related to the cleaning of our schools/buildings to ensure clean, safe and healthy working/learning conditions.Required Qualifications / Skills / AbilitiesEducation / CertificationSecondary (High) School diploma or equivalentRequired KnowledgeWorking knowledge of custodial processes and procedures and custodial cleaning/grounds equipmentPreferred ExperienceMinimum 1 year of institutional cleaning experience or equivalentSkills / AbilitiesBasic computer skills, e.G. handling e-mailsAbility to communicate orally and in writing (English)Ability to comprehend detailed instructionsStrong attention to detailSelf-starter and ability to work with minimal supervisionAbility to work in a team environment with a demonstrated customer service focusAbility to communicate and relate with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all timesAbility to attend work on a regular basisPhysical RequirementsJob requires frequent walking, reaching, bending/stooping when wiping surfaces, frequent pushing/pulling and gripping to hold all cleaning equipment and tools.



Lift up to 25 lbs and in rare circumstances up to 75 lbs.The Cleaner salary is $22.18 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefit package.Our board is committed to providing safe environments for our students and staff.
