Who We Are
My Engineering is a Canadian mechanical engineering firm. We design leak repair enclosures and custom pressure equipment, and we use 3D scanning to solve inspection and fit-up problems in the field.
FlangeVision is our own flange inspection technology. It came from a field problem, not a boardroom. It lets crews scan a flange face, find and measure defects, and document everything against ASME PCC-1 criteria.
We're building FlangeVision into a service we deliver across Canada and the US. We need someone to lead that in the field.
The Role
This is a sales role that gets done through service. You'll win work by showing up on site, running the scans, and showing people what FlangeVision finds. The people who see it work are the ones who ask for it on the next job.
You'll be the face of FlangeVision in the field. You'll build relationships with facility owners, integrity managers, reliability engineers, and heat exchanger shops. Then you'll deliver the work yourself, and with the help of a team.
While you're on site, you'll also be our eyes and ears for the rest of what we do. That means spotting opportunities for 3D scanning, reverse engineering, leak repair, and hot tap consulting, and bringing them back to our engineering team.
What You'll Do
Sell and deliver FlangeVision inspection services, from first conversation and demo through field execution and reporting
Grow the FlangeVision client base across Canada and the United States
Target planned shutdowns and turnarounds three to four months out, while inspection scopes are still being written
Get end users to write FlangeVision into their inspection scopes, so it doesn't depend on a service provider choosing to use it
Generate leads for 3D scanning,
reverse engineering, leak repair consulting, and hot tap consulting
Build and manage your own list of named accounts and qualified opportunities
Prepare quotes and scopes with our engineering and sales teams
Bring field feedback back to our product team, because what you see on site shapes where FlangeVision goes next
What You Bring
Must-Haves
A valid passport, and the ability to travel into the United States for work. This role may include cross-border trips, so it isn't optional.
A valid driver's licence and a clean driver's abstract
Also Looking For
10+ years of field experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, refining, pipeline, or heavy industry
Hands‑on knowledge of flanged connections, bolting, gasket seating surfaces, or mechanical integrity and inspection
A track record in technical sales or business development
An existing network of facility, shutdown, or shop contacts. Contacts in the US are a big plus
Comfort with technology. Experience with 3D scanning, NDT, or inspection software is an asset
Current safety tickets (H2S Alive, CSTS/OSSA, Standard First Aid), or willingness to get them
Self‑directed, organized, and comfortable owning a territory without someone checking in every day
Nice to have: a trade ticket (Journeyman Pipefitter, Millwright), an inspection certification (API 510/570), or a technical diploma
Why This Job
It's a recent role. You'll help shape what it becomes.
You'll have a direct line to leadership. Your ideas don't sit in a queue.
You'll sell technology no one else has. You won't be one of ten companies bidding the same scope.
You'll be on a small team of about 14 people. What you do shows up in the results.
