Electrical Engineer
TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineer on behalf of a valued client. This is an excellent opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team supporting the design, construction, commissioning, and operation of industrial oil and gas facilities.

Overview
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for providing electrical engineering and design services throughout all phases of project execution. This role supports electrical system design, equipment specification, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical engineering and design activities for oil and gas processing facility projects.

Prepare and review electrical designs, calculations, specifications, and technical deliverables.

Specify, evaluate, and procure electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, motors, generators, and power distribution systems.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project requirements, schedules, and deliverables are achieved.

Develop and review power distribution systems, motor control schematics, single-line diagrams, equipment lists, and electrical construction packages.

Participate in project planning, procurement activities, 3D model reviews, and vendor document reviews.





Provide construction, commissioning, start-up, and field support while resolving technical issues.

Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with APEGA.

5-8 years of experience in electrical design for oil and gas processing facilities.

Experience working within EPC and EPCM project environments.

Knowledge of ETAP power system modeling and analysis.

Experience with plant layout design and industrial electrical systems.

Strong understanding of electrical equipment selection, power distribution systems, and commissioning activities.
