This part time, hourly position is responsible to maintain the buildings mechanical and pool systems, HVAC systems and performing preventative maintenance on building equipment at Westside Recreation Centre.

Responsibilities include:

Pool and mechanical operations

Maintain HVAC systems

Boiler operations

Preventative maintenance

General maintenance such as painting, drywall repair, carpentry, tile work, and minor electrical and plumbing

Determine building and mechanical repair needs daily

Determine safety needs for building and equipment to ensure safety

Complete work orders

Good knowledge in Building Management Systems

Work Term

Part-time, up to 25 hours a week

Afternoon, evening and weekend work is required

Qualifications/Skills Required:

Building Operator B ticket or 5thClass Steam Engineers ticket

Pool Operator Level I is an asset

Current Intermediate First Aid/CPR/AED Certification

Preference will be given to those with recreational building maintenance experience
