Become part of the maintenance team at Smurfit Westrock as an Industrial Millwright Apprentice. This night shift position focuses on troubleshooting, maintenance, and assisting with plant equipment.

Located at the Guelph facility, this apprenticeship caters to 3rd or 4th year millwright students enrolled in an Industrial Millwright/Mechanical course. Candidates will work night shifts from Monday to Friday, gaining hands-on experience in preventative maintenance and minor electrical repairs. A satisfactory criminal background check and pre-employment medical are required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and determine maintenance needs
• Assist with machinery breakdowns and facility repairs




• Maintain preventative maintenance programs on all plant equipment
• Support operation of boiler systems and energy supply
• Assist with minor electrical repairs and equipment installation

Requirements:
• High school diploma required
• 3rd or 4th year millwright apprentice enrolled in certification
• Experience in manufacturing preferred
• Physically fit and able to work night shifts
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
