Join the Municipality of Huron East as a Water Distribution Operator, where you'll manage water systems while ensuring safe compliance with regulations. This role is pivotal in maintaining the town’s water infrastructure.

Reporting to the Water and Sewer Foreman at the McKillop Office in Winthrop, you'll be responsible for operating, maintaining, and inspecting water distribution and wastewater systems. The successful applicant will ensure that municipal infrastructure operates efficiently while adhering to all relevant provincial standards and legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain water distribution systems
• Inspect wastewater collection infrastructure
• Repair municipal water and sewer systems as needed




• Ensure compliance with provincial operational standards
• Read and understand construction plans and specifications

Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Environmental Sciences
• Operator in Training (OIT) certification for water and wastewater
• Valid ‘G’ license with transparent driver's abstract
• Completion of working at heights and hazard awareness training
• Experience in water treatment and municipal infrastructure
