This is full time permanent work, 10 days on and 4 days off, split between the shop and the field, and the right candidate gets a path to being indentured as an apprentice in pipefitting or another trade.Whether you are starting out or switching into the trades, a passion for learning pipefitting counts. Every item below must be completed before you are scheduled for your first shift.Successful completion of Alcohol and Drug ScreeningA clean driver's abstract for your valid Class 5 licenceWorker to provide current safety training tickets held, valid government issued identification, and CSA approved safety boots (minimum 6 inch, fully laceable)Employment is conditional upon successfully meeting all of the pre-employment requirements listed above.What You'll DoWork in the shop and in the field, and jump in wherever the crew needs youHelp pipefitters with fit-up: measure, cut, bevel, grind and move pipe, valves and fittingsLearn the pipefitting trade under journeyman direction, including reading drawingsRun a variety of equipment as you are trained on it, including skid steerTroubleshoot equipment problems, and load, stage and keep material and work areas organizedTake part in hazard assessments and safety meetings, and travel to out-of-town jobs when requiredWhat You BringIndustrial skilled labour experience, pipefitter apprentice time, or a real passion for learning pipefittingValid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean abstract, and reliable transportation to the shopYou live within 100 km of LamontMechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skillsPhysically fit for duty and able to lift 50 lbsAmbitious, able to work long days when needed and handle changing conditionsReliable and safety minded, with a solid work ethic and a team-first attitudeNice to HaveSkid steer experienceOilfield tickets: H2S Alive, First Aid, Confined Space,
