You want to learn more about the design process, and how a team works together to get projects done.Binnie is looking for an Engineering Assistant to join our Infrastructure Burnaby Division, which provides professional civil engineering services for local municipalities. Typical projects include road and utility improvements and replacements, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control and major residential, commercial and industrial developments.This position is in our Burnaby office, located near scenic Deer Lake for the Jan - April 2027 work-term. There may be an opportunity to extend the work term to Aug 2027 depending on project requirements.You will be working with our experienced Project Managers, Designers, and Engineers on interesting drafting, design, and field assignments. You will be a member of our diverse team in a challenging role that offers great mentorship opportunities.Your RoleModifying basic design drawings in AutoCAD and Civil 3DPlotting, assembling, and delivering drawing submission packagesPreparing project documentation including hard copy and electronic file transfersMaintaining file naming and layer management conventions set by BinnieCompleting field assignments as required by Project ManagersCompleting quality control proceduresPreparing and updated as-constructed field record drawingsWhat You BringPrevious work experience in a civil engineering environmentPrevious exposure to AutoCAD and Civil 3DCurrently completing Degree in Civil EngineeringValid Driver's License and personal vehicle for site visitsWilling to work outdoors on-site as requiredAbility to consistently produce accurate,
