Empower Indigenous youth aged 7-12 in Timmins through the Akwe:go At Risk and High Risk programs at the Timmins Native Friendship Centre. Lead impactful initiatives and create a nurturing workplace for personal development.The Timmins Native Friendship Centre is seeking a dedicated Program Worker for its Akwe:go At Risk and High Risk initiatives. This role includes developing holistic programming, engaging in community outreach, and providing individualized support for urban Indigenous youth. Your efforts will enhance self-identity and cultural connections for participants in a supportive atmosphere.Key Responsibilities:Supervise all Akwe:go program activitiesDeliver one-to-one support and action planningFacilitate cultural teachings and leadership workshopsEngage families through family-based programmingMaintain accurate participant records and activity outcomesRequirements:Post-secondary diploma in relevant fieldsExperience with urban Indigenous children and familiesStrong organizational and interpersonal skillsValid driver's license and reliable vehicle accessFirst Aid/CPR and Food Handler's CertificateSupport Indigenous youth in Timmins and help build a positive community through your program work.
